Parlez-vous Polyvore?

My newest creation --

Launched in 2007, Polyvore has become one of the most popular websites among both users and e-commerce businesses. The platform allows members to design "sets" from fashion, beauty and home products. It's almost like a scrapbook of collages that you can make without scissors and glue!
To begin a new "set" or page, click on an item and add it to your design. You can also use a little more advanced method and "clip" new items. When you find an item during a web search, you add it to the site using the clipper tool, a browser add-on. This is explained in detail on the Polyvore website. To help new members, here's a brief description of basic terms to get you started.

"Sets"
Once you've collected and arranged your items, you've created a "set" that you then "publish" onto the site. (You can also go back and make changes through the "edit" function and rearrange anything at any time.)
You can also include photographs and other images. By adding these items, you can create everything from a home mood board to a celebrity styling creation.

"Collections"
Collections are composed of sets or items, which usually follow a theme. These can help you get ideas for new sets or find the best items for your set. Polyvore makes it easy to search for items, sets and collections.

"Templates"
While I've never used any templates during my four years on Polyvore, it's a great method to help new members and save time for others. You can create your own "image placeholders" or use the templates created by others. Then you fill in your items to quickly create new sets.

Once a member of the Polyvore community, you can design your own sets in fashion, home, beauty and art. Plus, as an added bonus, many people get to become online friends with other members from around the world. So get started, but be warned: once you start, it's hard to stop! Enjoy!

Feline Fashion

Whether you're a cat worshipper or a dog lover, you must admit that the "cat fashion craze" is going strong. From iPhone covers to trendy earrings, cats are sweeping the marketplace. Why the obsession with these furry felines? It began on Spring 2010 runways from Miu Miu. At first the clothes were seen as a cute trend a la Hello Kitty. But then it became entrenched in every facet of fashion. Sweaters, shoes, earrings, pajamas... the list goes on and on. Suddenly, the lonely "cat lady" image was replaced with pride of all things feline. If you care to start, or continue, your own cat fashion collection, check out these Polyvore designs with lots of feline fashion!
